From the fall of the Ching Dynasty to the current People's Republic of China (PRC), a span of roughly 120 years, China lived through being essentially colonized, invaded and occupied by foreign powers, suffered through WWII and then civil war and now emerging as the largest (or second largest) economy of the morden globalized world. A documentary film maker through research has made a 58 minute film chronolgy through rare photos, films, and video about the history of China and and the lives of Chinese during this period which included the 90 years of my own life in both China and the US (1934-1949 China, 1950-2024 US, very frequent (almost every year) visits to China since 1979):
