我所认识的第一位古植物学家

I am not able to type Chinese characters at moment. But I spent some time looking for some Chinese characters and making the title and sub-title for the current issue of the Story of Palaeobotany Series about the first palaeobotanist I have known.
I once studied at the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing for one year. Weiqing Zhu was one of my teachers of systematic botany. He talked about lots of palaeobotanical knowledge with us, which did not inspire my interest in palaeobotany promptly. However, I believe that he was the first palaeobotanist I have met.
Several years later, I joined in the palaeobotanical lab founded by a world-famous palaeobotanist Ren XU (1910--1992) in 1959 when Weiqing Zhu graduated from Shandong University. Weiqing Zhu contributed quite a lot to the establishment of the lab, which was the first palaeobotanical lab in China’s biological institutions.
