WMO与全球水伙伴共同支持的IDMP集成干旱管理计划及其提供的干旱指数介绍

The IDMP works with a wide range of partners with the objective of supporting stakeholders at all levels by providing them with policy and management guidance through globally coordinated generation of scientific information and sharing best practices and knowledge for integrated drought management. The IDMP is a contribution to theGlobal Framework for Climate Services (GFCS) especially with regards to GFCS priority areas of disaster risk reduction, water, agriculture and food security. It especially seeks to support regions and countries to develop more proactive drought policies and better predictive mechanisms.

HOME/ INDICATORS AND INDICES


The indicators and indices listed below are based on the IDMP Handbook on Drought Indicators and Indicesand have been drawn from IDMP and partner literature and online searches. They are categorized by type and ease of use, and grouped into the following classifications: (a) meteorology, (b) soil moisture, (c) hydrology, (d) remote sensing and (e) composite or modelled. Although listed by ‘ease of use’, it is possible that any, all or none of the indicators may be suitable for a particular application, based on user knowledge, needs, data availability and computer resources available to implement them. The resource needs increase from green to yellow to red, as outlined below. Again, the simplest index/indicator is not necessarily the best one to use.
