NCEP FNL (Final analysis) does not belong to Reanalysis data. It's an operationanl analysis data, generated by assimilating observations into global forecast system within each forecast period. Then what's reanalysis?

"make analysis for the past years with a frozen global analysis system and use all available observations as some of them could not be assimilated in time on the daily operational forecasting ([Kalnay et al., 1996]). This process is called Reanalysis."
