研究方向为压力与记忆：申请者将会成为奈梅亨大学唐德斯脑、认知行为研究所的PhD.

研究将专注于压力是如何影响我们记忆的。为什么我们能更好的记住情绪剧烈变化时和过去面临压力时的体验。在该研究中我们将运用啮齿类动物模型检测在不同行为任务中压力（激素)和情绪唤醒对大脑的影响。该研究的目标旨在理解神经病理性紊乱（创伤后应激紊乱和恐惧症）后大脑在处理这些记忆问题的机制。本研究将重点理解哪种应激改变了啮齿类动物记忆处理的神经机制，主要运用体内神经药理学的干预和当前先进的细胞分子和光遗传学的试验技术。

你将在Benno Roozendaal 教授的亲自指导下完成你所有的科研工作，主要负责数据的搜集，分析和报告。最终你会完成你的博士论文，并依据你的试验结果写作完成至少四篇的文献。

Stress and Memory

Applications are invited for a PhD position at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour at the Radboud University Nijmegen.  

Our research focus is how stress influences our memories. Why do we remember emotionally significant experiences better than everyday mundane experiences, but also why do we have problems remembering things from the past when we are stressed. We are using rodent models to test the effects of stress (hormones) and emotional arousal on the brain during different behavioral tasks. This research is aimed at understanding the brain processes underlying memory problems in neuropsychiatric disorders such as posttraumatic stress disorder and phobias. The project will focus on the neural mechanisms by which stress alters memory processes in rodents. The project has a strong focus on in vivo neuropharmacology but involves also state-of-the-art molecular and optogenetic techniques.

You will work under the direct supervision of Prof. Benno Roozendaal, and will be responsible for collecting, analysing and reporting research data. You will write at least four articles on research outcomes, resulting in a doctoral dissertation.

Ideal candidate for this position has:

-  a  Master's  degree  in  a  relevant  field-  strong interest for multidisciplinary research
