Chapter II Selecting plan

3.  In 2014, 3000 youngteachers will be sponsored as visitingscholars or post-doctoral  by China ScholarshipCouncil and their universities together.

4. …Visiting scholars can studyabroad within 6-12 months, and post-doctoral can study abroad within 3-24months(must more than 3 and less than 24 months)

6. Teachers should be sent to renowneduniversities, research institutes and laboratories in developed countries.

8. CSC scholarship sponsors a round-tripinternational travel and living expenses during the study period.

Chapter IIIApplication requirements

10. Applicants shouldbeoutstanding young teachers in colleges and universities, and achievedoutstanding results, with a solid professional foundation, strong teaching andresearch capacity or organization, management capabilities.

12. Postdoctoral applicantsshould meet the following requirements: age is not above 40 years (subject tothe application deadline), outstanding young teachers or researchers indomestic colleges and universities with a PhD degree or in the presentgraduating year, working specifically in teaching or research work.

13. Invitation from foreign university orresearch institution must be submitted when applying. (the short CV in 1 or 2 pages of the foreign supervisor is also needed,both with signature by hand )

14. Level of foreign languages:

English: Public English Test System Level 5(PETS 5) ——aggregate score>55&& listening part >18&&oral test>3

      ||TOEFL>95

      ||IELTS>6

Chapter IVselection approach

19. 2014 online registration and application processing time isApril6th – 20th. ( I earlier mixed up this project with another CSC project whose deadline is January 10, 2014, which is not open for PhD students in their present graduating year)

Chapter V Sending and Management

25….Training report and identification from foreign supervisor should be submittedto the domestic university every three months.

26.  Sponsoredteachers should complete the proposed tasks in research proposal and returnChina on schedules. Sponsored teachers are required to report the results afterreturning to domestic universities. The evaluation and comments from theforeign supervisor are also required.

27. Related publication must be indicated“Sponsored by the China Scholarship Council.”
